Awkward to use, but should last a long time. In the past I've used stainless steel brushes with wire bristles, but stopped buying them when I started hearing cases of people ending up with bristles that shed in their food. Yuck. Gives me heebie jeebies just thinking of a bristle getting driven into my gum between my teeth. I shudder at the thought! Anyway, I bought a very stiff, hard plastic, BBQ grill brush that was supposed to work as well as wired brushes but without that danger. It was good, cleaned well, and lasted about 10 uses before I had to throw it away because it gradually melted and there weren't enough unmelted bristles left to clean the grates. So back to square one.... Bought this one on the premise that it's long-lasting stainless steel and should clean just as good (hopefully) as a regular stainless steel BBQ brush. Well, it doesn't. It's solid and well built, and it's nice and hefty and feels good in my hand. But the bottom line is that it just doesn't clean as well or as quickly as a regular stainless steel brush with wire bristles. This cleans "just OK". But it takes three times as many passes to clean as a wire brush, and you also need to run it vertically against the angle of the way the grates run in order to clean. So for now, I'm going to keep using it until something better comes along.

Good grill cleaner. It works ok on a Weber grill top, but still need to scrape the lower part and corners! Also hard to clean.
